Before establishing his practice in Doha, Dr. Aju served as a consultant psychiatrist in the UK, working at prestigious institutions such as The Royal Victoria Infirmary and St. Nicholas Hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne. In October 2006, he took a two-year sabbatical from his consultant role at St. Nicholas Hospital to set up his clinic in Doha. Recognizing the significant need for his services in Qatar, he decided to continue his work in Doha permanently.

 

Dr. Aju's psychiatric training began in 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital in Middlesborough, after which he gained experience at various hospitals in North East England. In January 2002, he was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK. He then embarked on a specialist training program in Psychiatry at the Postgraduate Institute (Northern Deanery) in Newcastle Upon Tyne, earning his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) from the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges, UK in 2005.

 

Driven by a quest for excellence, Dr. Aju pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the University of Durham in 2005. His rapid career progression led to his role as a Consultant Psychiatrist, where he achieved notable recognition. One of the highlights of his career was leading his team at St. Nicholas Hospital to win the award for the Best Psychiatric Team of the Year 2006 from the mental health charity organization 'MIND' in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

 

Dr. Aju is proficient in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Psychopharmacology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Neurofeedback Therapy, and Biofeedback Therapy. He emphasizes the use of psychometric assessments alongside routine psychiatric evaluations to ensure accurate and scientific diagnoses of mental and developmental disorders across all age groups.

                                                                       Dr. Soorya Sunil is a highly skilled and dedicated clinical psychologist with over                                                                             eight years of experience in the field. She brings a compassionate, collaborative                                                                           approach to her practice, consistently demonstrating success in both                                                                                             psychotherapy and psychological testing within clinical settings.

                                                                       

                                                                       Dr. Sunil's extensive experience includes working with a diverse clientele,                                                                                       encompassing various cultural backgrounds, and providing specialized care for                                                                           both adults and children. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in  Psychology from the prestigious University of Delhi. Her academic excellence was recognized with the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in June 2015 and the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in May 2018. She earned her doctorate in                 Psychology from the University of Delhi in 2020. Additionally, Dr. Sunil has qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professorship in India.

With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s                                                                                 degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the esteemed All India Institute of                                                                               Speech and Hearing, Farseena brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to                                                                           her practice.

                                                                             

                                                                       Farseena has extensive experience working with children of various age groups as well as adults, providing tailored therapeutic interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, she emphasizes inclusive and respectful practices that honor the individuality of each person she works with.
